The General Secretary of the National Command (Arabic: الأمين العام للقيادة القومية al-ʾamīn al-‘ām lil-qiyādah al-qawmīyah), usually known as the National Secretary (الأمين القومي al-amīn al-qawmī), is the de facto leader of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, the founding and ruling political party of the Arab Union. The National Secretary is elected by and chairs the National Command, which is the highest institution of the Ba'ath Party between sessions of the National Congress. The National Secretary is also chair of the National Command's Central Committee, which meets daily to act on behalf of the National Command, as National Command sessions are typically held only one every two weeks.

The equivalent position within the party's regional branches is called the Regional Secretary.
