The New Brunswick Public Security (French: Sûreté publique du Nouveau-Brunswick) is the provincial police and only civilian law enforcement agency of the Canadian province of New Brunswick. In addition to providing policing services at the provincial level and providing local policing on a contract basis to all administrative counties or regional municipalities in the province and by extension their lower-tier municipalities and unincorporated communities, the New Brunswick Public Security is also responsible for all sheriff services (courthouse security, bailiff and judicial police services and protection of the provincial government), with the Director of the New Brunswick Public Security (the highest rank, equivalent to both a provincial chief constable and provincial sheriff) answerable to the Attorney General of New Brunswick. The New Brunswick Public Security has its headquarters in the provincial capital of Fredericton.
