North Fraser County Crown Attorney
The North Fraser County Crown Attorney is the County Crown Attorney for Canada's North Fraser County, the most populous county of the Canadian province of British Columbia (BC). The North Fraser County Crown Attorney's Office is a major component of the North Fraser County Department of Justice, and as such the North Fraser County Crown Attorney is directly answerable to the Secretary of Justice of North Fraser County.
The North Fraser County Crown Attorney's Office is responsible for all prosecutions at the county level within North Fraser County, and has a designated Deputy Crown Attorney responsible for each incorporated municipality of the county. Most municipal-level cases, including criminal cases, are handled by the deputies, but all county-level prosecutions as well as more serious municipal-level prosecutions are the responsibility of the County Crown Attorney him/herself.
The North Fraser County Crown Attorney's Office is located at 6161 Deer Lake Parkway in Burnaby, the administrative seat of North Fraser County, adjacent to Burnaby City Hall, Deer Lake Hall (headquarters of North Fraser County Council), and Deer Lake Avenue Police Station. The incumbent North Fraser County Crown Attorney is Lee Kilpatrick, in office since 1 February 2020.
