Jump to navigationJump to searchPalestine National Library (PNL; Arabic: المكتبة الوطنية الفلسطينية al-maktabah al-waṭanīyah al-falasṭīnīyah) is the national public library system of Palestine. It is operated as a subsidiary of the Palestine National Library Society, a registered not-for-profit organisation, and entirely subsidised by the Palestinian government. Palestine National Library has over 500 locations across the country, with at least one branch per municipality above 5000 people, and over 100 million items in circulation, namely books, CDs, DVDs, newspapers, magazines and other periodicals, and ebooks. In 2018, PNL had over 11 million members. Its headquarters and largest branch is located in Ramallah.
