The Canadian People's Militia (CPM; French: Milice populaire canadienne, MPC) is an extra-governmental paramilitary force controlled by the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist–Leninist) (CPC–ML) via its Military Committee. The CPM is intended as a partisan supplement to the Canadian Forces. Unlike the Canadian Forces, however, the Department of National Defence and by extension the Cabinet of Canada has no jurisdiction over the CPM, which instead answers directly to the CPC–ML.

The Canadian People's Militia has an estimated strength of 115,000 full-time personnel and and additional 88,000 reservists who can be called to active duty, all of whom are volunteers. While mostly a ground force, the CPM has access to 23 transport helicopters and 5 attack helicopters, intended primarily for support of the CPM's ground operations. The CPM has no naval capability to speak of.
