The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is an executive office of the Attorney General of Ontario, responsible for overseeing the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as well as crime and crime-related statistics and the like on behalf of the Attorney General. Much of the communication between the Chief Constable of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Attorney General of Ontario is via the PCC, as are most media communications destined for or seeking the Attorney General.
