The Port of Vancouver is the busiest seaport on the west coast of both Canada and North America. It is located on the southern shores of the Burrard Inlet in the northeast of Vancouver, Canada's third-most populous city. While the largest port in the Lower Mainland (a ceremonial county encompassing Vancouver's large metropolitan area), it is only one of multiple other ports along both the Burrard Inlet (like the ports of North Vancouver, Lynnmour, Port Moody and Burnaby) and both arms of the Fraser River (like the ports of Marpole, Marine City, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, Surrey, Austin Heights, Delta, Steveston and Port Coquitlam).
