Radio Kingston was a Jamaican radio station which existed between 1933 and 1977. Broadcasting from Kingston, the station mainly featured contemporary popular music of the calypso, ska and later reggae genres. During its heyday, it was the most popular music station in the English-speaking Caribbean, propelling many talented yet otherwise obscure musicians and groups to widespread regional and even global recognition.

Nearly a decade of lengthy lawsuits over royalties, copyrights and ownership as well as other legal complications, which held the leadership up in court for years and cost the station millions in legal fees, fines and settlements, quickly compounded Radio Kingston's worsening financial situation and ultimately forced it to cease operations—when the station permanently closed in 1977, it was on the verge of bankruptcy. Nonetheless, Radio Kingston remained a popular station right up to its end, with many fans continuing to lament its closure well into the 1990s.
