Jump to navigationJump to searchRafat Prison (Arabic: سجن رافات sijn rāfāt) is a maximum-security prison operated by the Corrections Directorate of the Palestinian government's Ministry of Interior. It is located in the municipality of Rafat, just south of the city of Beitunia in Ramallah County.
Rafat Prison houses convicts of major crimes with some of the longest sentences, and is one of only two traditional maximum-security prisons in the country, alongside Bab el-Hajar Prison in Jabalia, Gaza County.
