Royal County, Quebec

Royal County (French: Comté-royal) is the largest and most populous of the five administrative counties which comprise the ceremonial county of Laval, Quebec, home to almost two thirds the total population of Laval County. Royal County is home to only three incorporated municipalities: the county seat and most populous city of Montreal, LaSalle and Cartierville (and no unincorporated communities). In December 2020, Montreal County had an estimated population of 6.85 million, distributed roughly 50:30:20 between Montreal, LaSalle and Cartierville.
