Royal Front or the Faithful
The Royal Front of the Faithful (abbrv. JMM per the native Arabic name: جبهة المؤمنين الملكية jabhat al-mu’minīn al-malikīyah; Arabic abbrv. جمم jamam) is a Salafist Islamist extremist organisation, militia, and national political party in the Arab Union. It has been outlawed as a political party since 1990, and its armed wing designated a terrorist organisation by the government of the Arab Union since 1996.
The JMM was formed by exiled members of the former Saudi royal family who controlled the modern Peninsular Republic from the 1930s as an absolute monarchy until their overthrow in 1977 and their former kingdom's subsequent accession to the Arab Union as one of its republics (federated states. Heavily funded by exiled former royals and supporters especially in the West, the organisation aims to overthrow the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party's control of the Arabian Peninsula and reconstitute the former Islamic kingdom.
While considered a relative regional threat, the JMM is a comparatively minor part of the Islamist issue within the Arab Union, which is driven for the most part by the powerful Muslim Brotherhood.
