The Royal Whitehorse Constabulary (RWC) is the local civilian law enforcement agency of the city of Whitehorse and Whitehorse County, the capital and largest city of Yukon Territory. It is the only independent constabulary in the territory, as all other counties and municipalities as well as the territory itself contract with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to provide policing services. Within Whitehorse County, the RCMP is responsible only for the security of the Yukon's territorial government institutions as well as investigating territorial or national crimes. With a total of 883 serving sworn constables, and a civilian staff of 155, the constabulary is the largest local police department of any Canadian territory.
