Strathcona Region, Alberta

Strathcona Regional Municipality is a regional municipality of Alberta, and its second-most populous upper-tier municipality, after Rocky View County. The boundaries of the regional municipality are coextensive with the ceremonial county of Strathcona County, which was an administrative county until 1998 and by which name the region is often still referred. The administrative seat and most populous lower-tier municipality within Strathcona Region is Edmonton, Alberta's capital and second-most populous city.
