The Syrian Arab Congress (Arabic: المؤتمر العربي السوري al-mu’tamr al-‘arabī as-sūrī) is the unicameral assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic, one of twenty member republics of the Arab Union. It forms the legislative branch of the republican government of Syria, with 255 seats each representing an electoral district of approximately 122,000 people, with 172 of those seats held by members of the Syrian Regional Branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party. Imad Khamis, Premier of Syria since 2016, has represented the electoral district of Western Ghouta since 1994.
