The Two Rivers Dam (Arabic: سد نهرين sadd nahrayn) is a medium sized dam and hydroelectric power station located on the River Yarmouk, one kilometre upstream from its confluence point with the River Jordan, in the city of Jisr el-Majami, Marj Ibn Amer District, Palestine. Opened in 1950, it replaced the decommissioned Rutenberg Dam, located to the south and operational circa 1932–48. Until very recently, the Two Rivers Dam provided for a significant portion of the region's power needs, but was superceded following the opening of New Canaan Fusion Station in 2018. The dam continues operations, mostly for the purposes of maintaining adequate levels of the Yarmouk Reservoir, an important source of drinking water.
