The Vancouver Island Police Act, 1933 is the primary legislation governing the formation and conduct of civilian law enforcement agencies within the Canadian province of Vancouver Island, passed by the Assembly of Vancouver Island on 1 May 1933. In practice, it is the legal basis upon which the Vancouver Island Provincial Police (VIPP) is established, organised and exercises its authority to enforce the Criminal Code.
