Western Canada (French: le Canada de l'Ouest or le Canada occidental) constitutes the five westernmost provinces of Canada–namely Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Alaska and Vancouver Island–and the Canadian territory of the Yukon. Together, these six administrative divisions have a total population of approximately 37.49 million, just over 28% of Canada's total population of approximately 133.41 million.
