The Yarmouk River (Arabic: نهر اليرموك nahr al-yarmūk; Hebrew: נהר הירמוך nahar ha-yarmukh) is the main tributary of the Jordan River. It drains much of the basin of southwest Syria, and forms the border between Nasser City and Jordan, whereas the Jordan River forms the border between Nasser City and Palestine. Where the Yarmouk meets the Jordan forms the southernmost extremity of Nasser City, south of which Jordan and Palestine border each other along the Jordan River until it empties into the Dead Sea.
