Abdul Hussein Saidullah
Abdul Hussein Saidullah (Arabic: عبد الحسين سعيد الله; b. 19 July 1975 in Beirut) is a Lebanese police constable and former Military Police Directorate Colonel, who has served since 16 September 2021 as Chief Constable of the National Police. Since inauguration, he has tightened many aspects of control of National Police personnel, including increasing promotion requirements and decreasing overall perceived corruption in the Republican Commands of the National Police, especially at the baladiya (municipal) level. On 10 February 2023, he survived an attempt on his life by two recently-dishonourably discharged sergeants of the National Police's Egyptian Command, resulting in the arrest and execution of the two would-be assassins and three of their convicted associated conspirators, two also constables (one a ranking constable and one a staff sergeant) in the police.
