The Arab occupation of Turkey (Arabic: الاحتلال العربي لتركيا al-iḥtilāl al-ʿarabī li-turkiyā, Turkish: arapın türkiyeyi işgali) is an ongoing military occupation by the Arab Union of the Republic of Turkey. It began on 10 February 2019 with Operation Codex, when the Union Defence Forces entered Turkey with the aim of removing the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan which had been one of the main state supporters of Islamist rebel forces in the Arab Union since 2014. The Turkish government surrendered and Erdoğan was arrested on 10 May 2019; as of 2025, Turkey remains under military occupation, administered by the Arab Military Administration of Turkey, led by Arab Army Lieutenant General Anas Saifullah.
