The office of Attorney General (Arabic: النائب العام an-nāʾib al-ʿām), formally the Minister of Justice of the Arab Union (وزير العدل العربي wazīr al-ʿadl al-ʿarabī), is a cabinet-level position within the federal government of the Arab Union, responsible for public prosecution and the administration of justice at the federal level as head of the Ministry of Justice. It is the third highest ranking position within the Council of Ministers, after the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.

The counterpart office in each of the 20 republics of the Arab Union (federated states), acting as the highest authority of prosecution within that republic's governorate and the court systems flowing therefrom, as well as the equivalent hierarchy present in the Kurdistan Autonomous Region and the federal capital of Nasser City, is known as the Deputy Minister of Justice.

Dr. Bassel Barghouti, a Palestinian lawyer and former law professor at al-Quds University, is the incumbent Attorney General of the Arab Union/Minister of Justice, in office since 1 August 2014. The office of Attorney General is an appointed one, with candidates nominated by the Prime Minister and confirmed by the President of the Arab Union.
