Burnaby Lake Aerodrome is the larger of the two police airfields owned and operated by the Lower Mainland Constabulary (LMC), the other being Fergus Creek Aerodrome in White Rock. Burnaby Lake Aerodrome is located at 3760 Sperling Ave, Burnaby, BC V5B 4X5; it has a single runway 1,995 metres in length, two large and five regular hangars, four helipads, an administrative office, and four police flight instructors, each of whom is certified to train both rotary-wing (helicopter) and fixed-wing (airplane) pilots for police service. The police flight training program is coordinated out of Kennedy Police Academy, the principal police training centre of the Lower Mainland Constabulary.

While the aerodrome is used for flight training, its principal function is the delivery of supplies for the constabulary ordered from other parts of Canada or from abroad. Virtually all police aircraft maintenance and repairs are carried out at the Burnaby Lake Aerodrome by the constabulary's Aircraft Maintenance Unit (CL-VM3).
