The Chief Constable of the Alaska Provincial Rangers is the highest-ranking sworn constables of the Alaska Provincial Rangers (APR), the provincial police of the Canadian province of Alaska. The Chief Constable is supported by a Deputy Chief Constable and six Assistant Chief Constables, the latter six each in charge of a particular operational division. The Chief Constable is appointed by the Attorney General of Alaska, to whom the Chief Constable is answerable via the Alaska Provincial Police and Crime Commissioner. In the event of the death or incapacitation of the Chief Constable, the Deputy Chief Constable serves as Acting Chief Constable until a new official appointment.
