The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA; French: Autorité de l'aviation civile, AAC) is a state agency of the Canadian Republic which regulates all aspects of civil aviation in Canada. It is an agency of Transport Canada. The CAA is responsible for supervising the construction, maintenance and operation of airports, air traffic management, accreditation of flight schools and other training programs, and the certification of pilots and other industry professionals like mechanics.
