The Doctrine of the Haida Church, commonly called Haidism (Haida: X̱aaydagyūu-gaay), are the religious beliefs of the majority (approx. 90%) of the Haida people, the native inhabitants of the North American island country of Haida Gwaii. The term Haidism is normally used when discussing the faith and its theology, with the religion itself officially called the Haida Church, which also refers to the state-sponsored institution of religion in the Haida Gwaii, namely the multiple Haidist congregations throughout the country and world, and/or their overarching governing body which has its headquarters at the largest congregation of the Haida Church, the Cathedral of Skidegate.
