Greenland, officially the Territory of Greenland, is one of the five territories of the Canadian Republic, an insular territory located northeast of the Canadian mainland between the Arctic Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. Its capital and largest city is Nuuk, formerly known by the Danish language name Godthåb. With an estimated population of 167,700 in December 2020, it is the least populous territory of Canada, although the largest physically with an area of 2,166,086 km2.
