Ministry of Finance (Arab Union)

The Ministry of Finance (Arabic: وزارة المالية wuzārat al-māliyah) is an executive department of the federal government of the Arab Union under the Council of Ministers. It organises and realises national monetary policy, regulates the financial sector, advises the federal government on financial and economic matters and develops its fiscal framework, ensures proper funding of federal institutions and government agencies via development of the annual budget, and oversees the Central Bank. The Minister of Finance is appointed by and directly answerable to the Prime Minister of the Arab Union, and is in turn responsible for appointing the president of the Central Bank and the directors of the various other agencies under its authority.

The Ministry of Finance has its headquartered on Victory Square in Markez Asimeh, Nasser City. The incumbent Minister of Finance is Mahmoud Shurrab, in office since 2016.
