The Moroccan National Congress can dissolve the Council of Ministers and/or remove the Premier by a vote of no confidence.

The current governing party is the Moroccan Regional Branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, which holds a total of 93 out of 148 seats. The remaining 55 seats are held by the Communist Party of Morocco (33 seats), the Social Democratic Party of Morocco (12 seats), the Moroccan Anarchist Party (3 seats) and 3 independents.
