Motor Vehicle Safety and Insurance Authority

The Motor Vehicle Safety and Insurance Authority is an agency of the federal government of the Arab Union, which is part of the cabinet-level Ministry of Transportation. Its primary responsibilities are administering road tests and issuing driver's licences, administering traffic tickets and related police-issued roadside fines, insuring all privately- and publicly-owned motor vehicles directly or ensuring a vehicle's insurance by a private insurance agency, issuing licence plates, and administering remedial programs for suspended drivers.
