The Governor of Lebanon (Arabic: محافظ لبنان muḥāfiẓ lubnān) is the head of government of the Lebanese Arab Republic, one of the 20 republics (federated states) of the Arab Union. The Governor is chosen by the Lebanese Arab Congress, and appoints the members of the Governorate of Lebanon, including the Deputy Governor and cabinet ministers. Baabda Palace, overlooking Beirut, is the official residence of the Governor of Lebanon.
