The Preventive Security Directorate (Arabic: ادارة الامن الوقائي idārat al-amn al-waqā’ī) is an agency of the Ministry of Interior of the Palestinian government which is responsible for the security of the Palestinian government and its personnel as well as responding to potential and real domestic threats. One of the directorate's primary roles is collecting intelligence via multiple networks of intelligence officers and confidential informants with a view to thwarting attacks on the domestic infrastructure and property of the republic.

The Preventive Security Directorate frequently works hand-in-hand with the Palestine National Police in dealing with serious security issues, with both agencies having full access to an Arab Union-wide database maintained by the federal government's Joint Security Committee. The Preventive Security Directorate is the third-largest agency by number of personnel overseen by the Ministry of Interior, after the Palestine National Police and the Corrections Directorate.
