The Royal Atlantic Police is the primary civilian law enforcement agency of the Kingdom of Atlantica Alba, responsible for all local policing within the counties of Atlantica Alba and any constituent municipalities, as well as dealing with law enforcement matters at the national level. The Personal Realms held in personal union with Atlantica Alba each have their own local police agencies, and are thus not policed by the Royal Atlantica Police. The Royal Atlantic Guard, on the other hand, a gendarmerie-like force part of the Royal Atlantic Armed Forces, has the power to enforce civilian law in all parts of the sovereign country, including the Personal Realms.

Each county has its own Royal Atlantic Police detachment responsible for all policing matters within the county. In Milo, in addition to the county headquarters, there also exists the Royal Atlantic Police national headquarters which coordinates law enforcement operations at the national level, often in coordination with the Royal Atlantic Guard.

The Royal Atlantic Police has an estimated 155,000 personnel, 120,317 of whom are sworn constables.
