The State Committee for Aerospace Industry (Arabic: لجنة الدولة لمجال القضائي lajnat ad-dawlah li-mijāl al-qaḍā’ī) is an executive state committee subordinate to the Council of Ministers of the Arab Union. Chaired by aerospace engineer Aouad el-Fadel since 2005, the committee is responsible for everything from 1) identifying and fixing flaws in, and designing new, government and military aircraft, 2) developing state-of-the-art communications, targeting and infiltration systems for Arab Air Force and Arab Navy aircraft, 3) coordinating the development and manufacture of such products with aerospace manufacturing companies, and 4) overseeing the development of technology appropriate to, planning missions for, and recommending upgrades and improvements to the Arab Union's space program, the latter of which is highly top secret and unbeknownst to staff working in other parts of the committee itself. Due to its sensitive nature producing top-secret military aircraft as well as overseeing the highly top-secret Arab Union space program, the State Committee for Aerospace Industry is one of the most secretive of executive departments under the purview of the Council of Ministers.
