The Arab Communist Party (Arabic: الحزب الشيوعي العربي al-ḥizb ash-shuyū‘ī al-‘arabī) is the second largest political party by membership in the Arab Union, and one of only two parties currently forming and three having ever formed government. It is a member of the National Progressive Front (NPF), a coalition of political parties led by the ruling Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, which the Communist Party officially supports as a coalition member. It holds the second most seats in both chambers of the Arab Congress, and also a majority of seats in the assemblies of three of the Arab Union's member republics (federated states), namely Algeria, Tunisia and Yemen, forming those republics' respective executive governments.
