COVID-19 Special Task Force (Arab Union)

The COVID-19 Special Task Force (Arabic: فرقة العمل الخاصة لمدض فيروس كورونا ٢٠١٩ farqat al-‘amal al-khāṣah li-maraḍ fayrūs kūrūnā alfayn wa-tis‘at ‘ashar) is a 22-member semi-permanent executive body which is responsible for directing the Arab Union's national response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It consists of several public health officials, including the Minister of Health, chair of the National Health Authority and commander of the Defence Medical Corps, as well as several physicians and virologists as senior policy advisors.
