Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Defence Medical Corps (Arabic: فيلق الطب الدفاعي faylaq aṭ-ṭibb ad-difā‘ī) is an umbrella command of the corps responsible for combat medicine of each of the three service branches of the Union Defence Forces (UDF): the Army Medical Corps, Navy Medical Corps and Air Medical Corps. It is responsible for training, accrediting, supplying and otherwise supporting all medical personnel and support staff of the three service branches. Its commander is a senior combat medic appointed by the Chief of Defence Staff on advice of the civilian Minister of Health.
