Graham Island (Haida: Kīis Gwaay) is the larger of the two main islands of Haida Gwaii, a sovereign state and archipelago of 150 islands off the West Coast of North America; the other main island is Moresby Island (Hāanas Gwaay). Graham Island is home to a population of 1.65 million according to a December 2020 estimate. Its largest cities are Masset, Skidegate and Tslaay.yaay. Despite being nearly twice the size of Moresby Island, Graham Island has is hardly more populated, home to an estimated 1.65 million people in December 2020. Graham and Moresby Islands are estimated to account for approximately 90% of the population of Haida Gwaii.
