Jump to navigationJump to searchThe Ministry of Interior (Arabic: وزارة الداخلية wuzārat ad-dākhiliyah; Kurdish: Wezareta Navxwe) is a cabinet-level executive department of the Iraqi Arab Republic, responsible for overseeing all law enforcement, public administration and record services, domestic security, and municipal governments in the republic, which is one of the 20 republics of the Arab Union (its constituent federated states). It primarily oversees the Iraqi National Police. It is led by Iraqi Minister of Interior Othman al-Ghanimi, a senior member of the Council of Ministers of Iraq and former Director-General of the Iraqi National Police.
