The Metropolitan Department of Justice (French: Ministère de Justice métropolitain) is an executive department of the Ottawa Metropolitan Council, charged with overseeing the administration of justice and public security within the capital. It is headed by the Attorney General of Ottawa, who oversees important cases and the Ottawa Metropolitan Police, while the Attorney General's deputy, the Solicitor General of Ottawa, oversees routine cases as well as the Metropolitan Sheriff Service and Metropolitan Correctional Service.
