Port Said Metro
The Port Said Metro (Arabic: مترو بور سعيد mitrū būr sa‘īd) is a system of six subway lines which serve all nine municipalities of the Port Said Metropolitan Area, the most populous urban agglomeration in the Palestinian Arab Republic. Five of the six lines terminate at one end at Waterfront Station in the city centre of Port Said proper, while the Airport Line has one terminus at Port Said International Airport, and the other at Port Fuad International Airport, stopping at Waterfront Station midway where it connects with the other five lines.
The Port Said Metro serves all nine municipalities which constitute the Port Said Metropolitan Area. While all six lines of the Port Said Metro are for the most part underground, four of six change to ground-level or elevated rail in the less dense outskirts of the metropolitan area. The system is owned and operated by the Port Said Metropolitan Transportation Authority, a state enterprise owned by the Palestinian government and overseen by its Ministry of Public Services; the authority also operates the metropolitan area's public bus system.
