The Premier of Nova Scotia is the head of government of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, and the highest executive office in the province. The Premier of Nova Scotia leads the Cabinet of Nova Scotia, which consists of the ministers in charge of the various ministries (executive departments) which make up the executive branch of the provincial government.

The Premier of Nova Scotia is appointed by the Deputy President of Nova Scotia on advice of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, the unicameral assembly of Nova Scotia, which forms the provincial government's legislative branch. The Premier of Nova Scotia can be dismissed from office and his/her cabinet dissolved via a motion of no confidence in the House of Assembly, upon which the Deputy President of Nova Scotia is compelled to call a new legislative election.
