The Prime Minister of Antilla is the head of government of the Commonwealth of Antilla. The Prime Minister leads the Cabinet of Antilla, the top executive body of the central government, whose members deliberate regularly to coordinate their distinct administrative areas of responsibility. The Prime Minister is nominated by the House of Commons, the lower chamber of the Parliament of Antilla, and formally appointed by the President of Antilla. Therefore, the Prime Minister is always a member of the political party or coalition holding at least a plurality of seats in the House of Commons.

The Prime Minister is in turn responsible for nominating all other cabinet members, who are also formally appointed by the President. In order to remain in office, the Prime Minister must maintain the confidence of the House of Commons, which is empowered by the Constitution of Antilla to remove the Prime Minister and dissolve the government at any time via a simple vote of no confidence. The President of Antilla also technically has the power to remove the Prime Minister via presidential decree, although in practice this is considered appropriate only in extreme circumstances. Notwithstanding, whether a prime minister is removed by the House of Commons or by the President, a new prime minister can be appointed only in one way, namely via initial nomination by the House of Commons and subsequent formal appointment by the President.
