The State Revenue Committee (Arabic: لجنة إيرادات الدولة lajnat īrādāt ad-dawlah) is a state committee attached to the Council of Ministers of the Arab Union, responsible for administering tax laws in the country including foreign trade. It enforces national tax policy by collecting sales and business tax as well as income tax for both the federal and republican levels of government, and is responsible for conducting audits. The State Revenue Committee is also tasked with administering the corporate law of the Arab Union by overseeing the registration of all legal persons in the country, from charities and non-profits to private or public companies and state-owned enterprises, and also administers tax deductions and exemptions and other benefits available through the taxation system. It is empowered to audit all state and non-state enterprises as well as government agencies and departments including the Ministry of Finance. The State Revenue Committee has been led since November 2016 by Chairman Faris as-Sahli.
