The Chief Constable of the Toronto Metropolitan Police Service is the highest ranking police officer in the force. The Chief Constable is appointed by and accountable to the Toronto Metropolitan Police and Crime Commissioner, and her/himself appoints the Deputy Chief Constable, who handles much of the Chief Constable's routine responsibilities to allow for the Chief Constable to attend various functions and meetings with political figures and diplomats.

Donald Gillespie has been Chief Constable of the Toronto Metropolitan Police since 2018.
