The Executive Council of Ontario (ECO; French: Conseil éxécutif de l'Ontario, CEO), informally known as the Cabinet of Ontario (Cabinet de l'Ontario) or just the Government of Ontario (Gouvernement de l'Ontario; used when referral to the executive branch is unambiguous), is the top executive body of the provincial government of Ontario, the most populous province (federated state) of the Canadian Republic. Like the federal and all provincial/territorial heads of government, (the Canadian prime minister and Canada's 18 premiers, respectively), all other members of the federal and provincial/territorial cabinets, including the Deputy Prime Minister, 18 deputy premiers,

how they are each officially conferred the honorific style of "The Honourable"


Deputy Premier, and all other subordinate deputies, ministers, agents and in Canada, its members are known as ministers of the Crown; all are simultaneously elected members of the Assembly of Ontario (MAs), in accordance with the Westminster system. Each member, other than the Premier of Ontario and Deputy Premier of Ontario, leads a particular ministry (executive department). The Executive Council is chaired by the Premier of Ontario, who nominates MLAs to chair a particular ministry who are formally appointed by the Deputy President of Ontario. Ministers, the prime minister and the deputy prime minister are styled "The Honourable" while in office.
